Corporate & Foundation Relations

Fostering relationships through philanthropy and partnership.

Corporations and foundations have been shifting their engagement goals with universities from a philanthropic approach to one that benefits the organization and its shareholders. Meanwhile, universities are looking to gain access to industry knowledge, leverage funds and contribute to economic development.

The UND Alumni Association & Foundation supports UND students, faculty, alumni and the community by providing resources for growth and development, offering a team approach to corporate partnerships that mutually benefit and impact both parties in concert with:

  • University administration
  • College and school leadership
  • Faculty
  • Research & Economic Development Office
  • Development officers
  • Students

As the only university in the state that offers aerospace, medical, law and business graduate degrees, the University of North Dakota provides its students and faculty world-class resources to conduct groundbreaking innovation and research.

Key Aspects

  • Establish, cultivate, maintain and nurture mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Build trust and foster open communication between partners
  • Identify areas of mutual interest and expertise
  • Foster innovation and creative collaboration
  • Support long-term customer management strategies to leverage strengths and create beneficial outcomes for all

Key Outcomes

  • Advance knowledge and education
  • Drive innovation in a risk-free environment
  • Solve company challenges
  • Spur growth at the University
  • Produce a more skilled workforce

The high value of partnership in higher education yields a high return to businesses willing to invest. As universities and industries benefit from partnership, so does the economy, powering success for the learner, institution and corporation.
