Back the Band

The Pride of the North Band has been the gameday soundtrack at the University of North Dakota over the last four decades, playing and marching at hundreds of games since its inception.

The band relies on the generous support of donors to make gameday performances at home and on the road possible. The operating cost for the largest student organization on campus is high, leaving little room in the budget to replace older instruments. In an effort to increase sponsorship and provide the needed support of the Pride of the North Band, we started an annual initiative: Back The Band.

Support the Pride of the North

Every year, the sights and sounds of the bands at the Alerus Center, the Ralph Engelstad Arena and the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center bring a half million fans together to cheer on the Fighting Hawks.

The Pride of the North Band – which has surpassed 170 members – attracts students from across campus. Roughly 70% of members are non-music majors and participate for their love of music and UND Athletics.

Back the Band allows you to sponsor a student, section, or the entire Pride of the North Marching Band while being recognized for your support. By giving today, you create a better experience for members of the band while also ensuring that their audiences continue to get a great experience for years to come.

When You Give $500 or More:

• You receive Champions Club Priority Points.
• A member or members of the band will wear your name or your company’s name on the sleeve of their uniform.
• You’ll get a chance to learn more about the students you support.
