The UND Alumni Association & Foundation Board of Directors is made up of people who give back to the University of North Dakota.

The UNDAAF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our Board of Directors provides strategic direction and governance. Task forces within the board, based on professional expertise, provide ongoing advisement. They are elected every three years and serve three-year terms.

The UND alumni family, as well as our administration, faculty and students, appreciates their dedication.

Message from the Chair

Dear alumni & friends of UND,

It’s an incredible honor to serve as the new President of the UND Alumni Association & Foundation (UNDAAF) Board of Directors. As someone who deeply believes in the power of community and connection, I’m thrilled to help lead this passionate group of alumni and friends who are committed to shaping the future of our beloved University.

It’s an exciting time to take over as president. In May 2025, we announced that the Forever UND campaign reached its $500 million goal 20 months early. Rather than rest on our laurels, the board asked the foundation to raise the goal to $625 million within the original deadline of December 31, 2026.

This bold campaign is an investment in the future of every student who dreams of earning a UND degree. It’s about ensuring that UND continues to be a place where dreams are launched, leaders are shaped, and lifelong connections are made.

I’m energized by the momentum we’re building and the incredible work being done by DeAnna Carlson Zink and her outstanding team at the UNDAAF. Together, we’re creating opportunities that will have a lasting impact on students, faculty, and the entire UND community. That is important to me as not only a UND graduate myself but also a lifelong resident of Grand Forks.

There are so many ways to get involved — whether it’s mentoring a student, attending an alumni event, or giving through the Foundation. Every action, big or small, helps strengthen UND’s foundation and fuels the future.

I look forward to working with all of you as we continue to build something truly special. Let’s make this a year to remember!
