Career
As Chief Human Resources & ESG Officer at C.H. Robinson (Nasdaq: CHRW), Angie Freeman is a member of the executive team and leads the companyโs global talent and sustainability strategies, including recruiting, compensation, learning and leadership development, culture and talent brand, environmental impact, charitable giving, and diversity and inclusion. Angie leads teams around the world, including North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America. In addition, Angie has served as the President of the C.H. Robinson Foundation, which along with the company has contributed approximately $30 million to charitable organizations. Angie has had a unique career with experiences leading a wide variety of areas, including Marketing and Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and Government Affairs.
C.H. Robinson is the global leader in Lean AI supply chains, which manages 37 million shipments per year and has annual revenues of over $16 billion. Angie also serves as the management liaison to the C.H. Robinson Board of Directors Compensation Committee.
During her career, Angie has also provided board leadership to several organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Aebi Schmidt Group (NASDAQ: AEBI), a Swiss-based manufacturer of commercial specialty vehicles.
In addition to her B.A. in Political Science and B.S. in Secondary Education from UND, Angie has a Masters of Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics. She and her husband Russ (UND, โ89) have three children and reside in Edina, MN.
Community
Angie serves on the Board of the C.H. Robinson Foundation, the Gartner Global CHRO Board, and the Wall Street Journal Chief People Officer Council. At UND, in addition to her service on the UNDAAF, she serves on the Nistler College of Business Advisory Council, and has served on the Nistler Dean Search Committee.
Her past community involvement includes serving as Chair of LeadersUp, a national nonprofit founded by Starbucks to address the issue of unemployment among opportunity youth, and as Chair of Community Health Charities of Minnesota, which works to improve lives affected by chronic illness. In addition, she has played an active role in numerous transportation and logistics industry organizations, serving on committees within the National Industrial Transportation League and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Angie is a frequent speaker on talent strategy and leadership topics, including strategy and agility, and womenโs leadership.
