Every year, scholarship recipients thank their donors by writing hand-written notes during this two-day gratitude event.
The next Notes from the Nest event will take place on Oct. 6-7, 2025.
2024 Recap
The second annual Notes from the Nest was a success, surpassing participation of the previous year's award-winning event. As of Oct. 30, 2024, more than 3,200 students had written more than 4,600 thank-you notes to their donors (and consumed 240 Deek's pizzas!).
The event wouldn't have been possible without the help of 70 volunteers from across campus.
This year, a new digitized system made it even easier for students to thank their donors.
News & Awards
In 2024, the University of North Dakota Alumni Association & Foundation received a prestigious international Circle of Excellence Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
In 2023, 2,361 online and in-person students wrote 3,650 thank-you notes thanking 630 donors. More than 40 volunteers assisted in the inaugural event.
