Why I Wear Green
I truly believe UND shaped my life in incredible ways. I jumped at the chance to come back to Grand Forks and work for the UND Alumni Association & Foundation. This city and University have had such a big impact on my life and have become a second family. Thanks to my job, I get to meet amazing people who share those same feelings.
Overview
While building on tradition, Shane looks to the future. As Associate Vice President of Development & Gift Planning, he keeps alumni connected to the University and inspires generosity in support of advancing UNDโs mission. In his role, he assists our alumni and donors to plan their gifts, identifying techniques that provide the greatest charitable potential and make the impact they want to make. Additionally, he works with donors to optimize estate, planned, and deferred gifts to the University of North Dakota through the UND Alumni Association & Foundation.
โMy experiences at UND have shaped most, if not all, of my success both personally and professionally. I am so thankful for all this University has provided me. And Iโm enthusiastic about partnering with others to provide this experience for future UND students.โ
Shane loves to travel and visit new places, which serves him well as he travels around the country meeting UND alumni. While visiting new cities around the world, Shaneโs challenge is to discover and experience the best food he can find. In the warmer months, he spends his time golfing and entertaining his mini-Aussie doodle, Phin.
