Why I Wear Green

The organizations and departments I was involved with as a UND student shaped who I am today and continue to be an important part of my life. I am excited to share my experiences with others and to help make a positive impact for the future.

Overview

With an eye for detail, Jared is well suited for his role as Associate Director of Agreements & Compliance, where he helps ensure donors’ generosity is carried out as intended. He manages gift, endowment, and building/naming agreements, along with the North Dakota State Matching Program and other matching programs ensuring each meets all applicable requirements. He also maintains fund records and manages naming opportunities across campus. 

When he’s not a work, Jared, who was a member of the University Band and Wind Ensemble at UND, is probably doing something connected to music. He might be playing either his alto or baritone saxophone, listening to one of the 300 records in his collection, or attending a live music event.

Qualifications

• BA, Political Science, University of North Dakota
• MS, Negotiation & Dispute Resolution, Creighton University

Knowledge

Before moving into his current role, Jared spent two years as a UNDAAF Engagement Officer, building relationships with donors to the College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Law, and the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He also has experience in the mental health field, where he learned the importance of listening to each person’s story and finding ways to connect on an individual level.
