Why I Wear Green

It’s inspiring to be part of a culture that encourages growth and lasting connections well beyond graduation. I’m grateful to work with a team that brings passion, positivity, and dedication to everything we do.

Overview

As Associate Director of Events, Tina brings strategy, creativity, and a talent for building authentic relationships to every aspect of event planning. As part of the UNDAAF events team, she helps create meaningful moments — through Homecoming, watch parties, and more — that alumni, students, and friends will remember for years to come. “I love creating events that reflect a spirit of collaboration, encouragement, and intentional impact,” Tina said.

Outside of work, Tina enjoys long walks with her husband, playing pickleball, and spending quality time with family and friends. Fair warning: the former college athlete brings a competitive edge to even the simplest yard games.

Knowledge

In a previous marketing role, Tina partnered with a local nonprofit on a carseat safety campaign, organizing a family-friendly event that paired fun activities with free carseat checks. “It was a powerful example of how meaningful impact can be made through thoughtful planning and collaboration,” she said.

Community

Tina has participated in several mission trips to Ethiopia, where witnessing poverty firsthand reminds her never to take anything for granted. Now new to the Grand Forks community, she’s eager to find opportunities to serve closer to home.
