Why I Wear Green

In my time at UND, I have seen how special UND is to current students and alumni. Personally, UND has given me many opportunities and new connections that I truly cherish. It gives me great joy to be able to have a hand in planning events that continue fostering relationships!

Overview

The logistics of setting up events can be stressful; Samantha is prepared. A former collegiate volleyball player, she said sports taught her to perform under pressure. She has lots of balls in the air in her role as Associate Director of Events. She handles on-campus events, works with UND student ambassadors, and helps plan and execute UND watch parties. Her busiest times are during homecoming week and commencement ceremonies. (Yep, pretty big on-campus events!) She also participates in UND Night with the Twins and golf tournaments around North Dakota and Minnesota. 

Qualifications

• BBA, Management; Minor, Leadership; Certificate in Sports Communication, University of North Dakota

Knowledge

Samantha’s organizational skills were tested for two seasons as the equipment assistant for the UND football team. She loved assembling all the different elements of the players’ equipment needs and getting them ready for all early morning practices and games. She was a trusted employee in charge of ordering new gear and equipment for the team.
