Why I Wear Green

Being a UND grad has made me grateful for all the opportunities I was given as a student, which led me to where I am today. Working at the Alumni Association & Foundation has really opened my eyes to how passionate people are about the UND experience and wanting to give that experience to students any way possible. 

Overview

UND alumni and friends give to the University in several ways and Marina tracks life income and insurance gifts. She meets yearly with deans to discuss funds directed to their areas. She also works with the colleges to monitor scholarship spending. What’s more, she’s responsible for endowment and fund reporting. Marina keeps track of a lot of numbers!

When she’s not at work, Marina enjoys getting lost in a good book, the outdoors, golfing, working out and spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces, nephew, and dog Morty.

Qualifications

• BAcc, Accounting, University of North Dakota
• Certified Public Accountant
• Member, North Dakota CPA Society
• Member, American Institute of Certified Public Accountant

Knowledge

Prior to her time at UNDAAF, Marina honed her accounting skills in the manufacturing industry. Her favorite projects involve research, using her Excel skills to solve problems and helping her team out whenever necessary.
