Why I Wear Green
I want to give others the same privilege I was given. UND has been instrumental in shaping who I am today. The University gave me an outstanding education, the opportunity to pursue my passion for data, and the support to grow as both a scholar and a professional. I wear green because I believe in UND’s mission and in the life-changing power of education, which has profoundly influenced my own journey.
Overview
As UNDAAF’s Business Intelligence Developer of Analytics and Data Insights, Elias turns complex information into practical tools that help teams work smarter. By analyzing data, building reports, and improving processes, he equips development officers and members of the executive and finance teams with reliable insights they can use to make informed decisions with confidence.
Outside of work, Elias enjoys playing soccer, spending time with his wife, and exploring the latest technologies and AI tools. He also loves to read and appreciates thoughtful conversations about leadership, faith, and personal growth.
Qualifications
- MS, Applied Economics and Predictive Analytics, University of North Dakota
- BA, Business Economics, Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma, United World College, Thailand
- Proficient in data analytics tools including Stata, R, Excel, and business intelligence technologies.
Knowledge
Elias specializes in data analytics, predictive analytics, business intelligence, and AI-driven automation. One of his favorite projects involved using Python to automate large-scale data collection for S&P 500 research. By identifying patterns in file structures, he streamlined the way large datasets were downloaded and organized.
Community
Elias has served as a mentor, led student ministries on campus, and spent several years leading a men's Bible study. He enjoys investing in people, encouraging their growth, and building meaningful connections.
