Why I Wear Green

When I moved from Alaska to Grand Forks to attend UND, I didn’t know anyone. My family and friends were thousands of miles away. The UND campus was very welcoming; it soon felt like my second home. I applied to work at the UND Alumni Association & Foundation because I wanted to be a part of the team that helps create a positive campus culture. I want UND to feel like home to all students, friends and alumni.

Overview

If you see an email from UNDAAF and it has a catchy subject line, chances are high that Carly created it! In her role as Associate Director of Marketing & Communications, Carly is called on to write engaging content across our digital platforms, specifically email and web. She works closely with the events team to strategize the best way to communicate upcoming events. She also works with annual giving, helping to promote fundraising initiatives. Finally, Carly has enjoyed taking on a key role on our website redesign project. 

Carly has a lot on her plate; good thing her middle name is “Organization!”  

Carly doesn’t just cook up ideas at work, she’s an ace in the kitchen, learning to cook during summers at a small outdoor restaurant in Alaska. She’s a fan of travel – as long as it’s somewhere sunny and warm. Carly has a miniature dachshund named Murphy. Woof!
