Career
Ann is a motivational speaker, executive coach, media consultant, and founder of Ann Kerian: Consulting & Coaching, LLC. She works with individuals and organizations on leadership development, communication, and media training. Ann is also a published author and columnist for Cedar Valley Image. MSN.com named her one of the “Top 10 Leading Speakers to Follow in 2025,” and she received the “Speaker of the Year” award from the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE).
A former award-winning television journalist, Ann spent more than 15 years reporting and anchoring. Her career included serving as bureau chief for WCTI-TV, the ABC affiliate in New Bern, N.C.; co-anchoring the 10 p.m. news in Pensacola, Fla.; and anchoring at KWWL-TV, the NBC affiliate serving Eastern Iowa.
Community
A resident of Palm Desert, Calif., Ann is active in community and education initiatives throughout the Coachella Valley. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert and as a member of its Development Committee. She also served on the parent board of Sacred Heart School in Palm Desert. She mentors emerging leaders through Leadership Coachella Valley and volunteers with Xavier College Preparatory High School as a member of the Loyola Society.
Ann’s leadership and volunteer roles have included service with the Wells Fargo Bank Advisory Board, YMCA Board of Directors, Friends of Cedar Valley Hospice Advisory Committee, and the YWCA Board. She also served four years on the board of Jamie and Jim’s Kids, a nonprofit that provides terminally ill children from Eastern Iowa with trips to Disney World.
