A Record-Breaking Year
The UND Alumni Association & Foundation celebrates record fundraising year and record endowment fund. Fundraising tops $100 million for first time ever.
Alumni and friends of the University of North Dakota gave a record $100.5 million in donations during the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2024.
The fundraising record was announced at the annual State of the UND Alumni Association & Foundation Address on Tuesday, August 27.
In addition, UNDAAF CEO DeAnna Carlson Zink revealed that the Foundation’s endowment fund had reached a record $422.1 million.
“It was an unbelievable year as our donors continued to prove that they have a deep love for this University,” said Carlson Zink. “Our organization works every day to help donors create perfect days for UND students. When you seek perfection, you catch excellence.”

While they both had positive experiences at UND that led to full careers – Dave as co-owner of a grain commodity trading company and Jody as an occupational therapist and director of a Minneapolis-based healthcare system – Dave and Jody were very aware of the struggles underserved students often face while earning a college degree and wanted to help.
The previous two highest fundraising years have occurred in the last five years. In FY 19, a new record of $67.7 million was established. It was broken the next year by an $80.1 million effort.
“UND President Andy Armacost has named this “The Year of Momentum,” said Carlson Zink. “Between all the new students on campus, the building projects completed, under construction and on tap, and, now, a record-breaking fundraising year and endowment fund, UND is truly on a roll.”
