Landon Bahl, '16

Director of Development

WHY I WEAR GREEN: UND has been a large part of my family for decades and continuing the tradition has provided opportunities and opened doors that have fulfilled both my college experience and professional career. I look forward to building relationships with alumni and friends today in hopes of having a student be inspired and impacted in the same way I was while at UND.

A forerunner in the field of digital advancement, Landon’s priority is to utilize digital platforms to engage passionate and connected alumni with their alma mater. By sharing stories and news about the university, he taps into alumni interests to determine their best and most meaningful courses of giving back to UND in ways that make an everlasting impact on our campus and our incredible students.

In the summertime, Landon lives and breathes “The Lake” as an avid water skier and surfer. His family is not only UND proud, but they are also part of a water ski show team! When the water doesn’t provide enough of an adrenaline rush, Landon likes to skydive (though, admittedly, life in North Dakota makes it tough to jump often.) When he needs to slow down, you might find him traveling or golfing.

  • BBA, Marketing, Entrepreneurship with a minor in sports business, University of North Dakota

Landon’s love for UND and experience building relationships make him a perfect fit at the UND Alumni Association & Foundation. As a student, he was highly involved on campus, serving on the UND nickname committee, Dakota Venture Group, UND Hockey emcee, and Delta Tau Delta, among others. He credits his UND mentors, relationships, and the UND Foundation for inspiring him to work at a University he deeply loves. Before joining us, he most recently was booking manager at Chesapeake Energy Arena, home to the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder. There, he helped increase ticket sales 117% and gross ticket revenue 194% from 2018 to 2019, and was happy to see nine sold-out concerts.
