October 10, 2022

Dear Alumni and Friends,

Before we move on to the next big event, I want to gush for a moment about Homecoming 2022.

The week kicked off with President Armacost hosting his Wake Up to UND event. The event featured campus updates and a discussion on the progress made on the strategic plan.

Another highlight of the week was the grand opening of Nistler Hall, home of the Nistler College of Business & Public Administration. It was great to be able to honor Werner and Colleen Nistler in front of many members of their immediate and extended family!

In addition to all the well-attended Homecoming events, our student-athletes won every one of their home games that week! If you’d like to get a feel for Homecoming 2022, watch this video that hits several events in quick succession.

Hall of Fame Game

Look out, Las Vegas, here comes the University of North Dakota! The Hockey Hall of Fame game is less than three weeks away. We are excited to see a sea of green as alumni and friends descend on Vegas for the weekend. Everything you need to know about the game and the festivities planned around it can be found at theralph.com/vegas.

Strategic Plan draft unveil

After months of information gathering, analysis, and thought by many members of the extended UND community including faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the university, the UND Strategic Planning Committee has a draft plan that they would like to share.

That unveiling will take place this Thursday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. in the Memorial Union Small Ballroom. If you can’t attend in person, you can register for online access.

Staff additions

I’d like to welcome Linsey Stadstad, ’06, ’11, and Adam Sayler, ’22, to the UNDAAF.

Linsey is our new Vice President of Talent Management. She most recently served as the Director of Human Resources for the Grand Forks Public School District.

In this new position, she will develop programs for retention, promotion and recruitment of employees while also providing leadership in the areas of work culture and inclusion.

Adam is an Associate Director of Development. He is part of a team that uses technology tools to develop personalized engagement with alumni and friends that results in renewed or increased giving to the University.

Welcome Linsey and Adam!

Our students are thriving thanks to the support of our outstanding alumni and friends. Thank you for everything you do on their behalf.

Sincerely,
