Dan Muus, ’94

Vice President of Philanthropy

WHY I WEAR GREEN: I’ve worked here so long, half my wardrobe is green! Seriously, it’s great to be able to show the pride I have for my alma mater. When you see our alumni from across the country taking an interest in helping our current and future UND students, you can’t help but want to wear UND green.

If you’ve ever met Dan, you aren’t surprised that he enjoys connecting with alumni and friends on a daily basis. He sets a personal example of success by prioritizing the needs of the university while working closely with the UND president, provost, deans, and others. He then connects those needs to alumni, friends, and corporate partners who generously give transformational gifts to UND.

Dan enjoys golfing, coaching youth hockey, spending time at the lake, and traveling with his family.

• BA, Communication with an emphasis in public relations and a minor English, University of North Dakota

Dan considers himself lucky to have a job that allows him to be a part of someone’s decision to make a difference in the lives of our students. For over a decade, he has been part of many “magic moments,” including fundraising for the Gorecki Alumni Center, the Collaborative Energy Complex, and the UND Athletics High Performance Center.

  • Altru Health System Community Board Member
