Cory Lien

Gift Administration Coordinator

WHY I WEAR GREEN: I enjoy the history and preservation of the UND campus. I have always thought the collegiate gothic and other historic architecture on campus is so interesting, and there’s always something new to learn. I also love supporting UND Athletics!

Cory records and processes gifts through the UND Alumni Association & Foundation for the benefit of UND. He’s donors’ go-to guy when they have a question about their company’s matching gift program and their contact for the UND Memorial Tree Program.

He grew up on his family’s farm in the Pembina Gorge near Numedahl and Walhalla, N.D.

  • AAS, Sales & Marketing Management, Northland Community and Technical College

As a history buff, there’s no better person than Cory to serve on the University Arts and Antiques committee, preserving UND historical items, pottery, and other pieces of UND’s past while keeping an accurate inventory of the UND Foundation’s arts and antiques. He was instrumental in serving as a liaison between donors and campus when furnishing the Gershman Graduate Center with UND Foundation antique furnishings.

  • Sons of Norway
  • Grand Forks Masons and Shriners
  • Member, Grand Forks Historic Preservation Commission
