Why I Wear Green
As a student, UND became my second family. Now, I wear green in support of UND with pride for all of the incredible things our students and alumni have accomplished.
Laura is a communications guru with vast knowledge of nonprofit organizations. She exercises her skills in nonprofits to help our front-line fundraisers gain a greater understanding of the UND Alumni Association & Foundation’s alumni base.
A world traveler, she loves planning her next destination with her husband, Michael, ’17, reading a good book, and binging the latest episodes of Grey’s Anatomy.
- BA, Communications with a minor in Nonprofit Leadership, University of North Dakota
- MA, Philanthropy & Nonprofit Development, University of Northern Iowa
- Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance
Laura’s experience and knowledge about nonprofit organizations is so expansive that she could teach a class – and in fact, she has: POLS 361, a Nonprofit Management course through the Nistler College of Business & Public Administration (NCoBPA). She is proud to be part of the team that broke the UND Alumni Association & Foundation’s all-time fundraising record in 2019, and has been an instrumental part of the NCoBPA building campaign.
