Why I Wear Green

Grand Forks is a beautiful town that is proud of their university. My passion has been to provide opportunities and growth for students, faculty, and the community β thatβs what the UND Alumni Association & Foundation does. Iβm happy to have found my home away from home.
Overview
Brooke connects with UND alumni and friends about how they can create an impact on students, campus, faculty, and programs. She is their concierge for providing campus updates, upcoming events, and informing them about how their giving has impacted students and departments. At the same time, she ensures that all UND alumni and friends can always call UND their home.
Being new to the Midwest, Brooke loves exploring North Dakota and its neighboring states. In her downtime, she enjoys watching the Food Network, keeping up with sports, golfing with her husband Clay, and spending time with their two dogs Bella and Brownie.
Qualifications
- BA, Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Applied Business Data Analytics and Organizational Leadership
Knowledge
Brooke comes to the UNDAAF with years of experience working for nonprofits, including Arizona State University Foundation, NABI Foundation, and St. Michael Indian School. During the pandemic, she created a webinar called Virtual College Readiness Panel for Native American high schools in which she invited college representatives and scholarship programs to speak to students about applying to college, how to pay for classes, campus life, and more. She was Miss Indian Arizona State University 2015-16, traveling across the country representing the Native American community. She was invited to the White House, where she spoke with First Lady Michelle Obama about growing up on the Navajo reservation and the challenges within Indian Country.
